FHA hockey program

FHA | Finland hockey academy – The FHA sports program lasts for 9 months during which the players, in average, play about 50 games in the hockey championship of Finland in their age and also participate in tournaments and training camps as part of the preparation of the club for the season.

The professional work methodology at FHA creates an opportunity for foreigners to adapt to the Finnish ice hockey style of playing, as well as to raise their training preparation to a new level.

The athletes play hockey professionally and compete in the hockey championship of Finland according to their age.

The structure of the academy includes 2 hockey clubs: HAKI (Harjun Kiekko) and Salon Kiekkohait, the clubs have teams from 13 years old to a team of masters, in which more than one and a half thousand people are involved, both local players and international.

Features of the FHA hockey program

  • Balanced training process from 5 times a week;
  • Trainings by positions, as well as riding technique;
  • Goalkeepers train once a week with a goalkeeper coach;
  • Teams compete in age categories U15, U16, U17, U18, U19, U22 and a team of masters;
  • There is no limit on import players at the FHA academy;
  • Players may be involved in trainings with an older age;
  • The training process lasts from the end of July to the end of April (depending on getting into the playoffs);
  • Each player must be insured and undergo a scheduled medical examination;
  • All clubs in the FHA structure play in the hockey championship of Finland in different divisions of the country.
